Deheleanu's career began at Politehnica Timișoara in his hometown. He played with his team in the Timișoara regional championship, but failed to beat their local rivals, Chinezul, or qualify for the final. In 1928, he moved to România Cluj. With his new team, he reached the 1929 final, but lost 3-2 to Venus Bucharest. In the following two years, his team failed to achieve the necessary victory in the regional championship. In 1931, he joined the reigning champions, UDR Reșița, but failed to win the title, as Venus Bucharest again emerged stronger in the 1932 final.
With the founding of the Romanian professional league, Divizia A, in 1932, he moved to Ripensia Timișoara. Ripensia became one of the most successful Romanian clubs of the 1930s. Deheleanu won the Romanian championship four times (1932/33, 1934/35, 1935/36, and 1937/38) and the Romanian Cup twice (1933/34 and 1935/36). He ended his career in 1939.
