He began his football career at Belgrade Sports Club, where he played from 1925 to 1935. He was a key player for the team and was known for his fighting spirit. With BSK, he won the Yugoslav national championship in the 1930/31 and 1932/33 seasons. Besides football, he was a forestry engineer and worked in Belgrade building shelters for citizens during World War II, which some contemporaries considered "collaboration with the occupier," for which he was executed in the autumn of 1944, after the liberation of Belgrade.

- Godinama je nosio “plavi” dres BSK – Beograd (1925-1935) i bio član odlične half-inije Arsenijević – Marinković – Đorđević (sva trojica su bili reprezentativci) koja je bila oslonac i najvažniji “šraf u ondašnjoj “plavoj mašini”. Svojim individualnim vrednostima “Lola” je dao veliki doprinos dominaciji “plavih”, posebno se ističući velikom upornosti, stalnoj dobroj igračkoj formi i kondiciji, a posebno izuzetnoj borbenosti.
