Jerson Cabral is a Dutch winger of Cape Verdean origin known for his dribbling skills, agility and bold attacking style, who has played for traditional clubs such as Feyenoord, FC Twente and ADO Den Haag. Revealed in the youth ranks of Feyenoord itself, he emerged with great expectation on the national scene for his ability to break lines with quick runs, short dribbles and good ball control, especially playing on the left wing.
Cabral began his professional career at Feyenoord, where he showed flashes of talent, but struggled to maintain consistency and establish himself as a regular starter. His technical and individualistic profile made him a useful weapon in attack, but he also required a specific tactical fit, which limited his opportunities in a more disciplined team.
Seeking more playing time, he moved to FC Twente, where he also oscillated between moments of prominence and others of lesser impact. His speed and creativity still attracted attention, but irregularities — both physical and performance — prevented him from fully establishing himself. He also played for ADO Den Haag, in addition to loan spells and spells at clubs outside the country, including seasons in France, Bulgaria and Greece. Then after that he returned to the Netherlands, at 34 years old, signing for FC Volendam, in which is likely to be his last professional club before ending his career.
