Thalles Lima de Conceição Penha was a forward who came through the ranks of Vasco da Gama's youth teams, where he gained notoriety for his physical strength, presence in the penalty area and goal-scoring instinct, especially in the youth teams and in his early years as a professional. Promoted to the main team in 2013, Thalles was seen as a great promise for the Vasco da Gama club, contributing to important campaigns and scoring decisive goals, although he alternated between good moments and irregular periods. After playing for other clubs such as Ponte Preta and Albirex Niigata in Japan, Thalles was looking to get his career back on track when his career was tragically cut short in June 2019, at the age of 24, after a motorcycle accident in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro. His death caused great commotion among fans and fellow players, who mourned the premature loss of a player who was still young and had the potential to make a comeback in football.
