Tom Boere is a physically strong Dutch striker with a great finishing instinct, who stood out on the national scene especially for his impressive goalscoring performances in the Dutch second division (Eerste Divisie) with FC Oss, and later for his productive spell at FC Twente, even during a turbulent period for the club. A product of the Ajax youth system, he struggled to establish himself at the beginning of his career, but found his identity as a classic number 9 when he began to play regularly in the lower divisions.
His breakthrough came in the 2016–17 season, when he scored 33 goals in 38 appearances for FC Oss, finishing as the Eerste Divisie's top scorer and gaining attention for his physical strength, intelligent positioning in the penalty area and accurate finishing. This performance led to his signing for FC Twente, who were looking to rebuild after a difficult season.
At Twente, Boere played an important role as an attacking reference. Even in a scenario of sporting and administrative crisis, he was the team's top scorer during the relegation campaign in the 2017–18 season, demonstrating personality, constant presence in the penalty area and the ability to maintain his performance even in a team that was in decline. The following season, he helped the club win the 2018–19 Eerste Divisie, again being a key player in the attack.
After his time at Twente, he played for clubs in Germany and Belgium, maintaining his natural finisher qualities, although without repeating the brilliance of his time at FC Oss and FC Twente.
