Scott Booth (born 16 December 1971) was a striker who played for Aberdeen, Borussia Dortmund, Vitesse, FC Utrecht and FC Twente. Booth began his career at Aberdeen FC before moving to Borussia Dortmund as a youngster. He played for Aberdeen for nine years. In the 1990/1991 season, he came very close to winning the Scottish Premier League title, and in 1995, he played in every match except the Scottish League Cup final, which he missed due to injury. Even without Booth, Aberdeen beat Dundee 2-0. This was followed by a surprising move to Dortmund.

The German club loaned him to Vitesse and FC Utrecht before FC Twente signed him permanently. At FC Utrecht, Booth adapted well, forming a good attacking partnership with Michael Mols during the second half of the 1997/98 season, where he played 14 games and scored 5 goals. His most memorable moment for FC Twente came on May 24, 2001, when the club beat PSV on penalties in the Dutch Cup final (KNVB Beker). He was one of the players who took and converted his penalty. After his time at Twente, Booth played one more season, ending his playing career with Aberdeen FC in his home country.

Booth was capped 22 times for Scotland between 1993 and 2001, scoring six goals in 22 matches as a striker for the senior team. He was a key player in Scotland's campaigns at Euro 1996 and the 1998 World Cup, though he didn't make significant impact in the major tournaments.

On the pitch, Booth stood out as a versatile forward with good technique, mobility, and tactical awareness. Despite his average height, he made up for it with intelligent positioning, dribbling ability, and efficient finishing from inside the box, as well as being adept in aerial play and set pieces. He was described in the media at the time as a technical player, capable of playing both as a center forward and as a second striker, also contributing assists and movement between the lines.
