INFO:

Maher Al-Sayed is a prominent Syrian footballer who began his career with Al-Wahda Club in 1997. He later rose to fame with Al-Jaish, where he helped secure several league titles, establishing himself as an influential offensive force. He subsequently moved to Kuwait for a professional stint with Al-Naser, gaining tactical experience and contributing to a style of play centered on quick counter-attacks. His playing style was characterized by versatility, as he combined the roles of a left winger and a striker, with the ability to transition into a playmaker when needed. He relied on speed and technical skill on the flanks, alongside tactical intelligence that allowed him to adapt to various roles on the pitch. Internationally, he is considered one of the most prominent players in Syria's history, earning 109 caps and scoring 29 goals while participating in numerous continental and global tournaments and qualifiers. He stood out particularly in regional qualifiers and tournaments, proving to be a distinguished goalscorer, as seen in the 2007 Nehru Cup. Although he did not achieve major titles with the national team, his longevity and multifaceted roles made him one of the pillars of Syrian football for over a decade.
