Bent Skammelsrud is legendary Rosenborg player and also a Norway international. He is noted for winning eleven consecutive Norwegian league titles. He played as a central midfielder, and was a captain of great 90's Rosenborg squad. His main role was orchestrating the attacking actions with his great passing ability, especially with his long passes which were a threat for every defense. He regularly provided a protection for his defenders and was good at defensive duties. He was quite mobile, moving in both directions, but when having a ball in his feet, he mostly chose a solution with his passing and not with dribbling because he wasn't so fast. He possessed strong left footed shot and he never hesitated to shoot from long distances. He was a great team player. He played in 38 games for Norway, representing his country at Euro 2000.
