Aloisi was a centre back. He spent the majority of his career at Ascoli in two spells, from 1987 to 1992 and from 1998 to 2001, playing a total of 206 matches and scoring 9 goals. He played also for Torino, Cagliari, Cesena and Reggina among others. He retired in 2007.
A centre forward in his youth career, Aloisi became a centre back when he joined Ascoli's first team. Unsurprisingly, he was a dangerous opportunist near the opposing box when he joined his team on the attack. He was preferably right-footed, gifted with a great physique and despite that, he had good speed on long distance. As defender his main task was marking the main opposing striker but he didn't stand out on that aspect, while he was capable in the air, having a good leap and being an accurate header, which was a helpful characteristic when he acted as additional attacker during set pieces.
