INFO:

Torben Boye is a legend and one-club man of AaB and their all time record appearance holder, playing 560 games for his only team. He was usually positioned as the right sided CB in a back 3 but he could also play as a right back. Boye was a tall and reliable defender, safe with and without the ball. He wasn't particularly quick or technical but he did his job with efficiency and consistency, and he was good in the air. His defending style was mainly leaving the defensive line and pushing forward to pressure the attackers, although sometimes he was slow to get back into position if the ball got past him. He would sometimes join the attack, overlapping into the box to try and get on the end of a cross. Boye was a key member of the AaB teams that won the first two league titles in their history. Unfortunately he missed out on a chance of playing for his national team because of a liver problem during the 1995 King Fahd Cup that Denmark eventually won. He was never called up again and finished his career with zero caps, but his heart only belonged to AaB and he is arguably the greatest legend in the club's history. His usual number 12 was retired in honour of his loyalty and service to his only club.
