Osama Hussain is a former right back or centre back. He spent his entire career at Al-Arabi, making at least 152 appearances from 1987 to 2002, scoring 12 goals. He capped for Kuwait in 93 occasions, scoring 6 times. He was team captain for both Al-Arabi and Kuwait national team.
Hussain was a good defender, distinguished for combativeness and mentality. Active in both defence and attack, he had a remarkable physique and ball distribution. His long passes from the back were particularly accurate and fast, often triggering an offense. When he joined the attack, he could win physical challenges with his strength, managing to win or keep the ball in the process. He had the ability to lead his team especially when he was team captain.
