Jamal Mubarak is a former side back, mostly on the left. He spent the majority of his career at Al-Tadhamon from 1995 to 2004. He retired in 2007 after three seasons at Qadsia. He capped for Kuwait in 70 official matches, scoring 5 goals (other sources report 108 caps and 9 goals).
Regarded as one of the best Kuwaiti defenders of the 1990s, Mubarak played mainly on the left side but often moved to the other flank, covering the whole defensive zone in support. He was good at recovering the ball thanks to a remarkable sliding tackle ability and when he had the ball on his feet he likely passed it short and safely to the nearest teammate. He very rarely pushed forward, preferring to stay in the back to defend. However, he managed to score some goals as he was good in the opposing box during corners, especially in the air.
