INFO:Peters was a centre forward. His professional career began in 1987 at the age of 17 after some years in the youth selections. He spent the majority of his career at Labasa. He capped for the Fiji Islands numerous times in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s. Considered one of the finest strikers in Fiji history, he started to make himself notice in 1988, first at the Melanesian Cup won by his national team, then in a historic 1-0 win over Australia in a World Cup qualifiying match. He's regarded by many as the most skillful dribbler Fiji has ever produced, and it's said that his dazzling footwork can never be seen again. It's at the 1988 Melanesian Cup where he earned the nicknamed "Maradona", showcasing his speed, footwork, and dribbling skills. He was a nightmare for the opposition's defences as he was stocky built and used to leave the defenders puzzled or reaching for air after he turned them in and out on a fly before speeding away with the ball. He was capable with either foot, could score with ease, and sometimes even with his head. It was one of his spear-headed goals that allowed Labasa to win the Inter-District Championship in 1992. Furthermore, he was known for having always a good fitness since he was young.
