Yousuf Al-Thunayan is considered by some to be the best Saudi footballer ever and his only competition for that title is Majed Abdullah. He was an outrageously skillful dribbler and entertainer, every time he got the ball he would attempt some trick that nobody could see coming. But he was a total individualist, he could pull off some nice passes sometimes but his goal was always to make the most beautiful play instead of the most sensible one. And he also had a controversial personality that led to bans and some time out of the national team, including missing the 1994 World Cup. In the first 10 years of his career he was considered to only be a clown, but in his late 20s and into his 30s he managed to combine his entertaining skills with efficiency and became the most dominant player in Asian football. With the ball at his feet, the only thing that could stop him was a foul, he wasn't just known for his close control but also for his electric pace while dribbling. He also scored some spectacular free kicks during his career, and could produce great spin with the outside of his boot. While he was normally positioned on the right wing, he drifted all around behind the strikers, going over to the centre and the left wing too as he was very comfortable with both feet. Most of his goals and assists came from getting into dangerous positions with his amazing technical skills rather than some impressive shooting or passing abilities. And his effort when defending was almost non-existent. He spent his entire career with Al-Hilal with whom he won every trophy available and he is the most decorated player in Saudi history. It would have been interesting to see him play against top defenders during his peak but he only made his World Cup debut in 1998 when he was already slowing down and he even missed the 1992 King Fahd Cup final against Argentina through injury, after a dominant display in the previous round against the United States. |

I updated a lot of these Saudi players height and weight, Al-Thunayan's injury tolerance and swapped the BB of Al-Thunayan and Al-Shalhoub, thanks a lot to General_a7 who has been giving me some info from Saudi Arabia that has been difficult to find in the west. |

All that remains is for you to add tactical dribble, and increase his defensive awareness & long pass, as well as his famous nickname “The Philosopher,” and everything here becomes complete. Spoiler: show What a skilled player, he is the Saudi player and perhaps the most talented and complete player in the Arabian Gulf. We can say that he is the Arabic version of Maradona. What many people do not know about this player is that he is not just only a skilled and talented player. He was an excellent scorer and is considered the second most goalscorer with his team after Sami Al Jaber, as he scored 183 goals, and scored 20 international goals with his country. This is a large number for a Arab midfielder. He also won 25 championships with his team, Al-Hilal, and won 3 championships with his country, 2 Asian Cups in 88 & 96, and the Arab Cup in 98. He is the Saudi player who has stood on the most podiums as a team captain. I put his best videos on YouTube here.. All Skills: Spoiler: show Passes: Spoiler: show Goals & Free Kick: Spoiler: show His Head Skills: Spoiler: show Al-Thunayan against defense violence: Spoiler: show His defensive contributions: Spoiler: show Al-Thunayan against European and American teams: Spoiler: show The similarity between Al-Thunayan and Maradona: Spoiler: show |

I added Tactical Dribble, I don't think he needs better passing or defensive attributes. |
