Hamza Falatah was a former Saudi striker, considered one of the main icons of Al-Ittihad. He was not a technical player but he was gifted with good physical qualities and a sense of opportunity that made him a clinical striker, he was known for taking his chances well and reacting quickly to the mistakes of defenders. He was very fast on long distances, which made him a threat on counter attacks. He wasn't very involved in the overall play, usually playing on the shoulder of the defenders, so he could disappear from the game if marked well. He was a good header and was also known for scoring on important occasions. In the 99/00 season he scored 33 goals, a national record that lasted for 19 years. With the national team he played at the 1994 World Cup.
