Orlando is a former wing-back and side-back who could play also as defensive midfielder. He mainly played for Triestina from 1985 to 1988 − 113 matches and 3 goals − Udinese from 1988 to 1991 − 107 games and 3 goals − and Inter from 1991 to 1995 − 125 matches and a UEFA Cup win in 1993-94. He played also for Varese, Cremonese and Juve Stabia, retiring in 1998.
Orlando was a tireless player, mostly capable on the flanks and active in both defensive and offensive plays. He was accurate with both feet and first time touches, gifted with nice speed, good technique and passing ability. He found enough space at Inter mainly thanks to his high level of consistency.
