Attack/Defence Awareness Card: BalancedINFO:Faisal Abu Thanin was a Saudi midfielder that was a regular for Al-Hilal throughout the 90s. He was a deep lying midfielder renowned for his passing ability, especially over long distances. He combined especially well with Sami Al-Jaber and his long passes over the top to him led to many goals. He was also very good with both feet and had strong technical abilities. He was a great set piece taker and could score directly from free kicks or curl dangerous crosses into the box. On the other hand he had pretty weak physical attributes and didn't excel defensively despite his position. This possibly limited his chances with the national team as he only won 8 caps, with the defensively stronger Fuad Amin and Khamis Al-Owairan preferred in his position. He spent his entire career with Al-Hilal, winning lots of trophies and captaining the team.
