INFO:Sulaiman is a former defensive midfielder or center back, usually wearing the jersey n°6. He spent his entire career at Al-Jahra from 1980 to 1999, helping the team winning its only Kuwaiti Premier league title in 1990. He capped for Kuwait in 109 occasions, scoring 19 goals, winning the 1990 and 1996 Gulf Cup. He was named best Kuwaiti player of the 1996 edition. The first player in the history of Kuwait to score a golden goal, he achieved that against the United Arab Emirates in 1994.
Regarded as one of the most prominent and brilliant players from Kuwait in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s, Sulaiman was a prolific scorer despite his defensive role. In fact, he's one of the top scorers in the history of Al-Jahra. He was particularly distinguished for his powerful shots from outside the box either with the right or the left foot. Due to this quality, he was also a skilled free kick taker. Despite his short size, he possessed a remarkable heading ability and scored the famous golden goal with a good header after a superb jump. During the 1996 AFC Asian Cup, where he was deployed as centre back, he wasn't the best in terms of defensive skills but he showed good tackling ability.
