His career began in 1985 at Lecce, where he spent seven seasons, playing 178 matches and scoring 15 goals. He then played 68 games and scored 6 goals for Cagliari between 1992 and 1994. He left for Roma, where he scored 11 times in 88 appearances from 1994 to 1997. He then joined Inter, spending three seasons and scoring 10 goals in 83 matches. He retired in 2002 after a two-year spell at Napoli. He gained 8 caps for Italy, scoring twice and taking part to the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Moriero was a hardworking and very fast player, gifted with great dribbling, ball control and a dangerous long range shot, even though not always powerful. Mainly right-footed, he showed good things with the left foot too. He wasn't prolific but could score excellent goals with volleys, acrobatic shots and could be a threat in the opposing box. Despite being an offensive player, he often helped in the defence, even staying in his own area during set pieces for the opponents. A good assist-man, he especially delivered accurate and usually fast crosses. Moriero could've done more in his career but he lacked of consistency. Spoiler: show |

Some impressions: Overall Passing could still be lower than this, also DS could do it maybe at 89-88 too Shooting accuracy and technique could be lower; he scored some wonderful goals that's true; but an attacking winger that scored barely 15-20 goals during that span is simply unconvincing, by any standard he played. I'll get back at this later. |
