INFO:Igor Kolyvanov is one of the most interesting Russian forwards of the 1990s. Began his career in Spartak's second team. Realizing that breaking into first team for a famous Club would not be easy, accepted an invitation from Eduard Malofeev to move in the Dinamo Moscow, where he almost immediately began to play in main squad. Igor made his debut in the national team of 23 August 1989 against Poland national football team. In the youth national team in 1990, he became European champion and the top scorer of the tournament, scoring 9 goals. The following year became the top scorer and best player (weekly "Football") of the Championship of the USSR. The following season he played in the Italian Serie a Championship: young players noticed and invited to play at Club Foggia in the role of attacking midfielder. The Italians paid Dynamo for Kolyvanov $ 2.5 million. Five seasons spent in the "Foggia" (4 in Serie A, 1 in Serie B). In 1994 in a game for the national team against San Marino received a severe injury, received a cruciate ligament ruptures. This injury put a cross on a possible move to Inter Milan. In football he returned in April 1995. In 1994/95 "Foggia" relegated from Serie A. In 1995/96 season, playing in Serie b, captained the Club. In 1996 Bologna (rookie Serie A season 1996/97) acquired Kolyvanov in a three-year lease with purchase option expires. In his first season in Bologna became the top scorer. Comunque era bravo, piccolo, rapido e ben dotato tecnicamente. A quanto pare anche lui come tantissimi altri talenti russi ha IN PARTE tradito le attese (da giovane era interessantissimo, sembrava potesse diventare un potenziale campione, come dimostrano l'Europeo U-21 del '90 vinto da super protagonista ed il titolo di capocannoniere dell'ultimo campionato sovietico della storia un anno dopo), ma in Italia - pur non segnando mai tantissimo - ha comunque fatto bene, lasciando un bel ricordo sia a Foggia (dove andò a sostituire Beppe Signori) che a Bologna. Venne frenato da numerosi infortuni, in particolare due furono molto gravi per il proseguio della sua carriera: il primo fece saltare il suo trasferimento all'Inter (che aveva appena prelevato il suo connazionale Shalimov), il secondo fece concludere la sua esperienza bolognese (non era peraltro in buonissimi rapporti con Guidolin).
