Jan Eriksson is former Swedish player. He was good defender but his career was ruined by numeruos injuries. Janne played mainly as a centre back but also in midfield. He was good marker with good heading and decent technique. He had strong shot and liked to go forward like Ronald Koeman for example. Eriksson started playing football in his hometown in GIF Sundsvall. In 1980 he moved to local rivals IFK Sundsvall, who was better known for its youth teams. There he played in the Junior National Fotbollförbundet of Svenska and came to 15 appearances in the Swedish U-21 team.
