INFO:
José Herrera is a former defensive or central midfielder who could also play as side-back and occasionally centre-back. He had his best time at Cagliari from 1990 to 1995, making 164 appearances and scoring 15 goals. He also played for Peñarol and Atalanta among others. He capped for Uruguay 57 times, scoring 4 goals.
Herrera was a versatile and unselfish player, gifted with great class, good feet and tactical awareness. He always found his place in the field and helped his teammates find theirs. He had very good passing ability and was praised for his outstanding determination, aggressiveness and ablity to push forward to create scoring chances or deliver powerful long range shots that often beat the goalkeeper. He wasn't the typical old-school defensive midfielder who only recovered the ball for the entire match. Moreover, he was a good set piece taker as some of his goals came from free kick and penalty. And despite being a midfielder for Cagliari, he often played as side-back or centre-back with man marking tasks for Uruguay.

182cm 73kg. His jumping & heading also need to go up. And you can add SB, which was his original position for the NT.

I watched a few matches and this video https://youtu.be/sqrlwkioGEw

I can say that he was a penalty taker at Cagliari and the video proves it so PK Taker should be added. His offensive and defensive prowesses were really balanced so if ATT is 72 I think DEF should be 73. I would slightly decrease AGI to 76 since he was fast but his movements, like when turning, doesn't seem to me that fluid. FKA needs a slight increase to 81-82. I would switch SPA and SPS with LPA and LPS because he could deliver very good long passes. Doesn't DA 82 make him almost like a trickster? I suggest DA 79-80 and DS 77.

First of all, thanks for the set.
But I think he was primarly a right back. That should be his default position.

Greetings.

Herrera arrived as side-back but starting from the second season in the team, his main position became defensive midfielder because Cagliari already had Nicolò Napoli on the right-back position. Since this set reflects his period in Cagliari, I guess DMF as primary position isn't wrong.

Yes, I remember in Cagliari that he played in midfield and in fact his shirt number was 4 or the number of the median. To confirm the fact that he played in midfield here is this card of the 1991-92 season:

So the main position is correct ..
