He scored in 3 different World Cups and is the only Saudi footballer to play in 4 World Cups. Al-Jaber was not known as a prolific goalscorer but rather as a tenacious and complete striker that caused danger with his running ability with and without the ball, his strong work rate and good overall technical abilities. Despite his small physique he enjoyed battling with the defenders and causing them trouble, and he was very good at winning free kicks and penalties by drawing fouls. He could comfortably be both the lone striker or playing as a more supporting striker, as his movement and dribbling opened up lots of opportunities for his teammates. On the other hand, he wasn't a killer striker in the box and he wasn't known for any special scoring ability with his head or his feet, most of his best work came outside the box or even with his back to goal. He is one of the only Saudi footballers to play outside his home country, having spent time on loan in England for Wolves. A combination of several things such as managerial instability and injuries sustained while on international duty led to his loan being a failure, but I'm certain that he had enough quality to succeed in Europe. His strong personality, hard work and tenacious style of play meant he often stood out against teams with superior quality when he was on international duty. Definitely one of the most iconic Saudi players.
