Alcindo was a prolific winger, a fast-paced dribbler and an important team leader. Playing for Kashima Antlers, he had the best two seasons of his career, acheiving impressive numbers during the 1993 and 1994 seasons, playing 71 matches and scoring 50 goals. Alongside Zico, Alcindo leaded the team towards a 1st place during the first half of the '93 season.
