Quote:
Launched in the first division at the age of 16, "El Maestro" stood out in 1989 during the Copa América. At the time, Arrigo Sacchi sent his assistant Fabio Capello to oversee the tournament. Fabio is blown away by the performances of a young hopeful named Aguinaga whom he wants to bring back in his luggage to Milan. Too late, the man with the eternal ponytail has just signed up with the Mexicans of Necaxa in 1989. A club where he will stay for fourteen years and will win three league titles, a Mexican Cup, a Campeón de Campeones, a Cup Cups and a CONCACAF Champions League, asserting himself as one of the greatest players in the Mexican league. Thanks to his precise passes and surgical free kicks, he played eight Copa América (a record) and led Ecuador to the first World Cup in its history. The 2002 World Cup is a kind of reward for this great number 10. He has refused a number of offers from European clubs.

JeanMarc, what do you think about this stats? I think it could be re-worked little bit.. RES seems overrated, TEC also could be lowered by few points, BB can be a bit higher..

Yes TEC in orange will be, but I think 91 would be enough.. concerning BB, I've always imagined him something similar like Valderrama type but a bit faster, with good stability on the feet.. agree for STA and MEN.. I would like hear also what beiderbecke can say about him..

BB, RES, speed values, passing speed, TW, STA are way too high..

He wasn't like Valderrama, he was too weak to be like him, RES/TW defensively speaking he was nonextistent, he could press a little bit, but nothing else..

Also never was that fast, surely faster than in 2002 WC where he mainly was focussed on playmaking duties, mainly green values for both TS/ACC (80 in TS if you still want him on yellow)..

DMF should be added since he could play also as deep lying midfielder

Yes, mostly of these players were always like that, i could see that he could give a hand in defense once or twice at games, but nothing else, he was dedicated to playmaking stuff..
