Former Ukrainian striker, longtime driving force of Dynamo Kyiv. An offensive allrounder, very fast with excellent shot from all angles or distances, very agile and technically gifted, could score with the head as well. Rebrov played during his youth at Shakhtar Donetsk. In 1992 he joined as a 18-year-old to Dynamo Kiev. In Dynamo, he formed together with a successful strike partnership of Andriy Shevchenko. Eight championships and five cup wins Rebrov scored for Dynamo Kiev. International he made in the 1998/99 season a stir when he and Kiev reached the semifinals of UEFA Champions League. Shevchenko Kiev left after this season and moved to AC Milan. A year later did Rebrov his footsteps and signed with the Tottenham Hotspurs, at a fee of just under € 18 million. Rebrov but could never meet the expectations put to him. In the winter break of the 2002/03 season Rebrov was for eighteen months on loan to Turkey for Fenerbahce, where he made only 38 games and 4 goals. In 2004, the Ukrainians bought from the English second division side West Ham United, but could not prevail there. 2005 Rebrov moved back to Ukraine returned to Dynamo Kiev. In the 2005/06 season he was top scorer with 13 goals Dynamos even though he played mostly in the midfield. Even if he could not get in that season, the Ukrainian Cup, he was named the best player of the season. In March 2008, he signed a two-year contract with the Russian first division club Rubin Kazan, which he won in his first year their first Russian title. In July 2009 Rebrov ended his playing career and joined the coaching staff of Dynamo Kiev. In the Ukrainian national Rebrov with 75 inserts (15 goals) in 4th on the list of Most games (as at 22 March 2009). The Ukrainian coach Oleg Blokhin, he was appointed to the 23-man squad for the World Cup 2006. He ended his international career shortly after the World Cup in the fall of 2006. 1996 and 1998 was Rebrov Ukrainian Footballer of the Year. He is also the leading scorer of the Ukrainian League with 123 goals.
