Osmanovski was a winger who could play either in attack or midfield. He also played as secondary striker − especially during his spell at Bari − and as centre forward. At Bari he had his best time, scoring 14 goals in 91 matches between 1998 and 2000 − even though he scored mostly in the first two seasons. He played a good number of seasons at Malmö in his early career from 1995 to 1998 and his late one from 2004 to 2007, for a total 126 games and 22 goals. He played also for Torino and Bordeaux. He capped for Sweden 15 times, scoring twice.
Osmanovski was a good player, gifted with speed and technique as well as teamwork and good vision of the game. He lacked of consistency throughout his career but was acclaimed at Bari for his stunning dribblings he could easily dribble his opponents with. Thanks to his small stature, he had good balance and could move well between the defenders. Reactive in the box, he was also gifted with a good header ability − considering his size − and a fine leap. Left-footed but accurate with the right foot as well, his shots had nice power but also technique, proved by lobs and a good first time touch.
