INFO:N'Gotty is a former centre back. His career began in 1988 at Olympique Lyonnais, where he spent seven seasons, playing 288 matches and scoring 13 goals. He then joined Paris Saint-Germain, playing 118 games and scoring 10 goals from 1995 to 1998. He eventually transferred to Milan but never convinced. The only good memory of him with the
Rossoneri is a crucial goal he scored in a 3-2 win against Bologna at the 93' minutes during the 1998-99 Serie A winning season. He retired in 2009 after spells with Olympique de Marseille, Bolton Wanderers, Birmingham City, Leicester City and Hereford United. He gained 6 caps for France.
Regarded as one of the best French defenders during the 1990s, he didn't live up to the expectations after leaving France. Gifted with an impressively strong physique, he wasn't very fast nor too effective when he challenged the attacker face to face. On the other hand, he was a good tackler. He possessed decent technique and occasionally supported the attack, trigger the action with decent short passes. His crosses though were fast but not very accurate. He had a powerful and accurate long range shot that he occasionally showed also from free kick.
