Arphexad was always a goalkeeper and an eternal second choice throughout his entire career, which began in 1989 and ended in 2005. He played for several important clubs like Lille, Lens, Leicester City, Liverpool and Olympique de Marseille. However he was a regular starter only in 1999-00, when he was playing for Leicester City, and that happened only because first choice goalkeeper Tim Flowers was injured. Moreover he had a great performance against Liverpool in a Premier League match, because of which the Reds couldn't qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
