BalancedINFO:Salvatori was a side-midfielder who played mostly on the right flank. He could play also as side-back and in almost all midfield positions except the attacking midfielder. He played mostly for Fiorentina, appearing 76 times and scoring 2 goals from 1988 to 1992. In the middle the very successful 1989-90 season at Milan even though he wasn't used too much. He played also for several other clubs including Parma, Spal, Atalanta and Scottish team Hearts of Midlothian. He retired in 2002.
Salvatori was a stylish and fast team player, gifted with good dribbling and quick leg movements, agonism and determination. Sometimes he preferred to overcome the opponent, otherwise he chose the short pass to a near teammate. Not easy to dribble, he could mark constantly even the most advanced midfielder.
