Attack MindedINFO:Simutenkov was a winger or centre forward. He played for Dynamo Moskva from 1990 to 1994, scoring 44 goals in 114 matches and being elected Russian player of the year in 1994. He tranferred to Italy, where he played four seasons in Reggiana, scoring 20 times in 97 games. Then he played for Bologna, Tenerife, Kansas City, Rubin Kazan and Dynamo Voronezh before retiring in 2006. He capped 20 times for Russia, scoring 9 goals.
Simutenkov was a fast player, gifted with good technique and dribbling. However he wasn't too consistent and that affected his seasons outside Russia. In Italy was often a reserve but his contribute as substitute was important anyway. Many injuries also compromised his career, which had a downfall very early.
