Bivi is a former centre forward. He played for several clubs in Serie A and Serie B with a very good scoring rate everywhere: 29 goals in 83 matches for Catanzaro between 1981 and 1984; 24 in 78 for Bari between 1984 and 1987; 10 in 32 for Triestina in 1987-88; 14 in 34 for Cremonese in 1988-89; 10 in 1935 for Monza in 1989-90; 25 in 105 for Pescara between 1990 and 1994. He retired in 1998.
A left-footed striker with a thin physique, Bivi was gifted with great opportunism. He was always near the goal, ready to reach the ball quicker than the defenders. He was very efficient in the air and an able free kick as well as penalty taker. In fact, most of his goals came from penalties.
