Rastelli is a former right winger secondary striker. His career began in 1987. He played for Solofra, Catanzaro and Mantova before joining Lucchese in 1990. One of the key players for seven seasons, he scored for the Rossoneri 54 goals in 231 matches. He transferred in 1997 to Piacenza, where he scored 13 times in 127 games until 2001. He then played for Napoli, Reggina, Como, Avellino, Sorrento and Juve Stabia, retiring in 2009.
Rastelli was a short and fast player, whose playstyle was inspired from Bruno Conti and Michael Laudrup. In fact, Rastelli tried to replicate their skills during training. He was gifted good technique, fine dribbling and passing ability. He wasn't very prolific, except during his time at Lucchese. He was capable with both feet, could score with remarkable goals like volleys or bicycle kicks and possessed a good heading ability.
