INFOS:

Secretário played for FC Porto for the most of his career. He was the first team regular for Porto side of the 90's whether on RB or RMF position. After the retirement of João Pinto the RB spot was reserved for him. Secretário was really fast player and his speed both on short or long distances was his greatest asset. He had decent technique and dribbling, which he used mostly when playing in midfield. On the other hand, when playing in defense, he didn't dribble much, he mostly relied on his teammates to do the dribbling, and he would just burst down the right flank to deliver a cross. His crosses had good speed, but weren't really accurate. He didn't have such a good defensive positioning, but he made it up with his speed and good sliding tackles (sometimes it looked like he would let the opponent go by him just to run after him and perform a tackle). His eleven year spell in Porto was briefly interrupted with his transfer to Real Madrid where he didn't leave quite an impression. He won good amount of trophies with Porto and represented Portugal in 35 matches scoring once.
