Florijančič is a former winger, secondary striker and centre forward. His name is mostly related to Cremonese, where he played 154 matches and scored 21 goals from 1991 to 1996. He played also for Rijeka, Torino and Empoli among others. He retired in 2002. He gained 20 caps for Slovenia, scoring once.
Florijančič wasn't a prolific scorer but he always put lots of effort in the match. He was talented, possessed very good technique, quick dribbling and turns, great acceleration and was excellent on the sprint. He mainly played for the team, providing a good number of assist, especially with accurate and fast crosses. His goals, although not many, were powerful and usually remarkable.
