He had his most successful time at Liverpool where he started his career in 1997 and scored 158 goals in 297 appearances. He left for Real Madrid in 2004 but didn't have the same success. His experience in Spain lasted only one season. He retired in 2013 following a decent four-year spell at Newcastle United and forgettable years at Manchester United and Stoke City. He capped for England 89 times, scoring 40 goals. He won the Ballon d'Or in 2001. Considered one of the best strikers in Liverpool's history, Owen was a prodigy since his debut in the first team. One of the fastest players in the world in his prime, he was also distinguished by excellent agility, offensive awareness and instinct in the box that allowed him to make effective late runs behind the defenders in order to get in front of the goalkeeper. Also in possession of notable technical skill and solid vision, he was the target of many passes that came from his teammates. He often tried to dribble his opponents before delivering accurate shots even from difficult spots. He also showed a good heading ability whenever he had the chance. In addition, he often moved further from the goal and could create scoring chances, especially with through passes from the edge of the area. Unfortunately, injuries and a lack of consistency often affected his mobility and fitness, but Owen always scored his fair share of goals when he was in good form. tribute videos https://youtu.be/ChtK5V8FIGg , https://youtu.be/kUoe-36WYMU , https://youtu.be/Dn_qjprG_4E , https://youtu.be/CcJO2IkiJcw2000-2001 vs Manchester United https://youtu.be/k6vUZPv_dc4?t=2785 , https://youtu.be/k6vUZPv_dc4?t=4627 , https://youtu.be/k6vUZPv_dc4?t=5655 , https://youtu.be/k6vUZPv_dc4?t=7173vs Arsenal https://youtu.be/yVYR7EkivTA?t=1986 , https://youtu.be/yVYR7EkivTA?t=4120 , https://youtu.be/-K3shQ95VJQ?t=1480 , https://youtu.be/-K3shQ95VJQ?t=4737 , https://youtu.be/-K3shQ95VJQ?t=4757 , https://youtu.be/-K3shQ95VJQ?t=5563 , https://youtu.be/-K3shQ95VJQ?t=5895vs Roma https://youtu.be/LsH1-ljo_Uc?t=3085 , https://youtu.be/LsH1-ljo_Uc?t=4620 , https://youtu.be/Mp8VO-WIorA?t=1356 , https://youtu.be/Mp8VO-WIorA?t=1680 , https://youtu.be/Mp8VO-WIorA?t=2696 , https://youtu.be/Mp8VO-WIorA?t=4219vs Porto https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=715 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=1031 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=1119 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=1612 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=1910 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=2212 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=2674 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=4448 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=4734 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=4953 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=5294 , https://youtu.be/UuhKT5pDHHE?t=64452001-2002 vs Manchester United https://youtu.be/9aIvrTMIdKs?t=639 , https://youtu.be/9aIvrTMIdKs?t=1158 , https://youtu.be/9aIvrTMIdKs?t=1517 , https://youtu.be/9aIvrTMIdKs?t=2210 , https://youtu.be/9aIvrTMIdKs?t=3818 , https://youtu.be/v8IuRJ9_qtA?t=2121vs Arsenal https://youtu.be/GAdLhiHVMEs?t=968 , https://youtu.be/GAdLhiHVMEs?t=1417 , https://youtu.be/GAdLhiHVMEs?t=2272 , https://youtu.be/GAdLhiHVMEs?t=6835vs Galatasaray https://youtu.be/obiXGj-u5Z4?t=3902 , https://youtu.be/obiXGj-u5Z4?t=4143 , https://youtu.be/obiXGj-u5Z4?t=5202 , https://youtu.be/obiXGj-u5Z4?t=5397vs Ipswich Town https://youtu.be/iDvrvH9WRIg?t=865 , https://youtu.be/iDvrvH9WRIg?t=3379 , https://youtu.be/iDvrvH9WRIg?t=4857 , https://youtu.be/iDvrvH9WRIg?t=5596 , https://youtu.be/iDvrvH9WRIg?t=58662002-2003 vs Vitesse https://youtu.be/mYqgPfSXnrY?t=1423 , https://youtu.be/mYqgPfSXnrY?t=2126 , https://youtu.be/mYqgPfSXnrY?t=2442 , https://youtu.be/mYqgPfSXnrY?t=2954 , https://youtu.be/mYqgPfSXnrY?t=6090vs Southampton https://youtu.be/kq7H4msQ7ec?t=241 , https://youtu.be/kq7H4msQ7ec?t=648 , https://youtu.be/kq7H4msQ7ec?t=3026 , https://youtu.be/kq7H4msQ7ec?t=3747 , https://youtu.be/kq7H4msQ7ec?t=4116vs Arsenal https://youtu.be/htQpanUKu7s?t=437 , https://youtu.be/htQpanUKu7s?t=1494 , https://youtu.be/htQpanUKu7s?t=2522 , https://youtu.be/htQpanUKu7s?t=2791vs Auxerre https://youtu.be/MD2RvSRmXMM?t=1358 , https://youtu.be/MD2RvSRmXMM?t=1457 , https://youtu.be/MD2RvSRmXMM?t=3893 , https://youtu.be/MD2RvSRmXMM?t=5039more games https://youtu.be/smQBCtRHdTg?t=1561 , https://youtu.be/smQBCtRHdTg?t=1607 , https://youtu.be/smQBCtRHdTg?t=3784 , https://youtu.be/iTyEVjR6M0g?t=4719 , https://youtu.be/iTyEVjR6M0g?t=4858 , https://youtu.be/iTyEVjR6M0g?t=5394 , https://youtu.be/Tslke2HJm0M?t=2955 , https://youtu.be/Tslke2HJm0M?t=5014 , https://youtu.be/Tslke2HJm0M?t=6590 , https://youtu.be/uwiuI9vSwx4?t=5905 , https://youtu.be/uwiuI9vSwx4?t=6895

Well firstly, I appreciate the work you're putting in updating some of these players who definitely need worked on. But I really can't agree in regards to his finishing ability. Yes, he was a great finisher, but I really just can't see him as a better finisher than Lineker or Shearer who were more clinical. Owen's main strength was his ability to make a lot of chances for himself with his movement and speed which let him turn a half chance into a full chance. I don't actually think his reactions were as instinctive as someone like Lineker, I think his acceleration really helped him there, you never have to be in a perfect position when you can move that fast to compensate.
His finishing was relatively consistent, but for me I'd expect to see something more to earn that high SA. Take Henry who has 94 SA, he could basically find the corner of the net every time from anywhere within about 25 yards. Shevchenko has 95, he would challenge the goalkeeper consistently from even further out, no matter the angle, it would always be a difficult save for the goalkeeper. Batistuta only has 92 despite being very similar to Shevchenko in that he could challenge the goalkeeper from any position. Shearer the same yet only 91 SA, in fact with your set his ATT, RES, SA, ST and AGG would all be lower than Owen's yet he scored many more goals than him, and a lot of the time for a worse team.
Of course, the fact they all have higher SP makes it easier for them to be dangerous from more positions, I just think they could consistently finish harder chances than Owen ever did. A lot of Owen's goals were 1-on-1 finishes that you'd expect any top class striker to finish. Something that always bugged me too: once Owen lost his ridiculous pace, he was less than half the player he was before. A very intelligent striker would adapt and remain a huge threat: a lot of people actually forget that Shearer was really quite fast when he was younger until he injured his knee, and then changed his game and scored even more goals; Inzaghi was also still a constant danger in his later career despite slowing down a lot. Owen could never work out how to remain consistently threatening without his insane acceleration. I think this at least goes some way to proving that he didn't quite have the same natural scoring instinct as some of the other players of his era. As far as I'm concerned, the late 90s and early 00s were a phenomenal time for strikers, and Owen just never quite matched up to a lot of them. There's sort of a reason he isn't as well regarded now as the likes of Henry or Raúl despite having a Ballon d'Or.
I'm completely fine with giving him orange ATT, RES, SA and ST, I even think he deserves red AGG, I just think giving him red in all of them is way over the top. There's probably about 3 or 4 players in the entire database with all of those stats being that high, and they were all at least noticeably better in those aspects than Owen imo. Giving too many people red stats makes the game unbalanced.

His goal/game ratio is one of the best an objetive way to asign S.A. values. With red values He would score +30 goals that season and didn't happened.

Someone accurately needs fewer attempts to annotate a goal, and in spite of looking for the angle mas difficultly. It does not have direct relation with the quantity of goals annotated in a season. Zlatan annotates +30 goals, but he needs many attempts per game, nevertheless it manages many generate chances per game, Owen was not generating many chances for party, and was managing to annotate in the few ones that it had. On the other hand, also it depends on the equipment in which it is played and against whom it is played.
