INFO:

Bobo Baldé is a former Guinean defender, best known as a cult hero at Celtic. Bobo was one of the most popular Celtic players with the fans during the 2000s, most loved for his huge physique and bone-crunching tackles. You could commonly hear Celtic fans chanting "Bobo's gonna get you" during those years. Bobo was incredibly powerful and took zero prisoners, flying into every tackle at full speed. His size and height made him a huge obstacle to overcome and he had many games where he simply dominated the opposition. His long legs made his slide tackles difficult to avoid and he even had pretty good speed over long distances. On the other hand he was very bad on the ball, slow and unagile when turning, and had moments of insanity where he would put his own team under threat. His tackles were often violent and late, and he picked up many red and yellow cards, most famously being sent off in the 2003 UEFA Cup final. This and him running his contract down at the end of his Celtic career made him quite a controversial figure with the fans, but he's mostly remembered fondly today. His powerful performances were a major part of Celtic's success in the early 2000s and he's probably the most intimidating player in Celtic's history.
