Waleed Ali is a former left side midfielder or left winger and central midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Kuwait SC from 2004 to his retirement in 2015, scoring 27 goals. He played also for Khaitan and on loan for Iranian team Esteghlal. Kuwait's former captain, he's the national team second player for appearances with 136, in which he scored 7 goals.
One of the most exciting players in Kuwait recent history, Ali was mostly focused on the offense. He had a very fragile physique that made him lose all physical contacts. Therefore, he took advantage of his superb speed and vast repertoire of tricks to overcome his opponents. He had very good ball distribution and he added nice speed when sending short passes but preferred accuracy when crossing the ball. His technique allowed him to easily pass the ball first time or with the heel. He wasn't a prolific finisher but could score excellent goals with his left foot, especially from awkward and angled positions, often using the outside, giving the ball great curling and sometimes good power. He often took free kicks, most of the times to attempt the shot.
