INFO:
Santos is a former centre-forward. Born in Brazil, he became a naturalised Tunisian in 2004. His career started in 1996 at Standard Liège. He then played for Étoile du Sahel from 1998 to 2000, scoring 41 goals in 60 matches. He spent three more seasons with the Tunisian team from 2010 to 2013, scoring 9 goals in 48 games. He had his best time in France at Sochaux where he played from 2000 to 2005 and in 2008-09 for a total 193 appearances and 68 goals. He also played for Toulouse, Zürich, Istres and Belfort. He retired in 2016. He capped for Tunisia 41 times, scoring 22 goals and winning the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations as top scorer of the tournament.
One of the best strikers to ever wear the Tunisia national team jersey, Santos was a complete player, gifted with an accurate and sometimes powerful shot on both feet, solid heading thanks to a superb jump, great instinct inside the box, remarkable ball control, quick dribbling, excellent agility, high pace especially in short distances. In addition, he wasn't the selfish kind of striker who would just wait for the ball in the opposition's area: sometimes he would support his teammates outside the area when necessary.
