Sébastien Frey was a goalkeeper. He spent most of his career at Parma from 2001 to 2005 and Fiorentina from 2005 to 2011, playing respectively 159 and 218 matches. He played also for Cannes, Inter, Hellas Verona, Genoa and Bursaspor, where he retired in 2015. He capped twice for France.
Frey was a consistent goalkeeper, regarded as one of the best in Serie A during the 2000s. He was renowned for his leadership, mentality, sense of position and dynamicity. He was incredibly reactive thanks to his agility between the posts and effective in 1-on-1 situations due to his ability to rush out quickly. Comfortable with the feet, he could use them either to save shots in acrobatic ways or to distribute the ball. Despite being good in the air, he wasn't always effective at coming off the goal to block high crosses.

Does he really deserve 78 in TMW then? If I'm not totally wrong than GKs with higher TW have better "communication", meaning that they will come out less if there's a defender nearby who can clear the situation.
Regarding Frey: Konami gave him 76 in PES 5 and 70 in PES 6, 2011, 2012 and 2013, so maybe with a white value (probably not 70 but rather something like 73/74) this "problem" of Frey could be emulated better.
If I'm totally wrong there, feel free to correct me of course.
Btw what a keeper he was at that time, certainly one of the best not only in Serie A but also in Europe. Bayern actually wanted to sign him twice (once at Parma, once at Fiorentina) but he declined both offers.

I usually relate TMW only to the communication with other teammates in terms of setting up the game, distribute the ball.
However, if for goalkeepers it's also related to that kind of communication, then the value you suggested is surely more accurate.
Yeah, he was indeed a great goalkeeper. It's a shame that Domenech didn't consider to make him play more for France.
