INFO:Dodô called attention for the first time at São Paulo when he became topscorer of the Campeonato Paulista de 1997 and Torneio Rio-São Paulo de 1998. He achieved the incredible mark of 54 goals in 69 matches in 1997. That performance gave him the opportunity to play for Seleção. He made a total of 5 matches and 2 goals for the National Team.
After that great beginning, he lived an inconsistency years, including playing in Asian teams for a few years, when he got back to Brazil for playing in Botafogo. Older than 30 years, he started to show his old football again. Living a great moment in the club he won the 2006 Campeonato Carioca. He was also topscorer and the chosen the best player of the State championship in 2006 and 2007 and also the best player of Copa do Brasil in 2007.
