INFO:Stević started his career in FK Bratstvo Bratunac the he played for FK Partizan and FK Rad in his home country. He also played in Switzerland, Germany and Turkey.
He played 6 times for Yugoslavia national football team. Has played for the Yugoslavia national football team and was a participant at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Highly appreciated at a young age as one of the most promising Yugoslavian players and courted by a European top club like FC Barcelona and its coach Johan Cruyff, the Serb Miroslav Stević succeeded only in mature football age at the Bundesliga with TSV 1860 Munich and breakthroug hwith 28 years finally even the leap into the national team of his country.
Once an attacking midfielder ,he transformed in the Bundesliga from the typical nice player, as he described himself once (Münchner Merkur, 07.23.1997),into a worker, runner and fighters in the defensive midfield.
But , after Andreas Möller's move to rival club FC Schalke 04 and due the lack of offensive playmakers in the team, Stević had to fill out this role and did it in a decent manner , with a good vision and passes and also became the number one free kick taker and corner taker.
Stević once was also elected in Borussia Dortmunds ''traditional team'' (similar with an all time all star team).
