In December of that year he was elected FIFA World Player of the year as the best footballer ever, chosen by the votes of national coaches and captains of the national football team.

He plays as a central defender, but early in his career by playing left-back,in which role, on the other end, was welcomed by Hector Cuper. [3] He was known for its ability to advance on the opponent , The concentration, the dynamics and the occasional action in a slip, [4], which meant that was considered one of the best central defenders in the world. In August 2004 he hired Fabio Capello's Juventus for 10 million euro. In the two seasons spent in Turin, during which he had reformed the defensive package with old teammates - Ferrara (Retire in June 2005), Thuram and Buffon, won the championships in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006, both withdrawn after the scandal which was involved in the Bianconeri (and therefore does not include in his list).

In Madrid Cannavaro found his Juventus team-mate Emerson. On November 27, 2006, after winning the World Cup, he was awarded the Golden Ball. He became the fourth Italian to win the individual trophy (after Gianni Rivera, Paolo Rossi and Roberto Baggio) [7] and third in the role of defender (succeeding Franz Beckenbauer and Matthias Sammer). Not sure about this set.
With this stats he would be better than Parma era, but actually this one has been the worst period of his career before WC2006.

In the last set , he probably don't deserve 8 COND , his form was pretty low in comparation of the 2005-2006 season in Juve.
