Shunsuke Nakamura is a former Japanese legend, one of the greatest players to emerge from the country. He's widely known for being probably one of the best free kick takers in history. Nakamura is remembered a lot by Celtic fans for his huge quality and his famous goals against Manchester United and Rangers. He was an excellent technician and could deliver fantastic crosses into the box. With Celtic he usually played on the right side of midfield although he always drifted towards the middle to have more influence on the game and utilise his stronger left foot. He wasn't a physically gifted player but his fantastic first touch and good dribbling ability made him a tricky player to mark, and with even a small amount of space he could punish you with great passes. And most of all he was an amazing set piece taker. His corners were always dangerous, hit with curl and pace, and most famously his free kicks were absolutely lethal, with anything inside 35 yards of the goal signaling immediate danger for the opposition. He could hit the corners of the net with extreme precision and goalkeepers often didn't even bother trying to save his free kicks. While he wasn't always the most consistent player, Nakamura's moments of magic live forever in the memories of Celtic fans.
