Mun In-guk is a former side midfielder and winger, capable of playing as central midfielder. He spent his entire career at April 25, making 315 appearances from 2004 to 2012, scoring 26 goals. He capped for North Korea 55 times, scoring 6 goals and taking part to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Nicknamed "North Korea Maradona" for his skills, Mun In-guk was distinguished for his good passes and crosses, game reading skill, and the ability to create scoring chances for his teammates. He possessed good dribbling and could defend the ball while his close control wasn't always good. Gifted with great stamina, mentality, acceleration and good positioning in both attack and defence, he often helped his defenders recovering the ball in midfield or even his own area, showing fine tackling despite his very short physique, before immediately starting his run forward or serving a teammate with a through pass or a long ball with either foot.
