INFOS:

Krstajić started as left back at Partizan, who was mostly oriented on defense, but thankfully to his hard shots and especially excellent aerial game he could pose a threat in attacking actions. His positioning was good, but he mostly relied on great tackling. When he was transferred to Werder, he was used as a left back. Later, he was converted to center back where he blossomed. His marking ability improved drastically, and he became one of the defense pillars of the famous Werder squad which won the Double in 2004. Over the years, he declined in explosiveness, but his improvement in reading of the game made up for that loss. He scored nice amount of goals for a defender. He was a part of the Serbia and Montenegro defense line-up which conceded only one goal in WC 2006 qualifications.
