INFO:Aronica is a former centre back, capable also as left back and occasionally left side midfielder. His professional career began in 1996 at Juventus, that bought him from amateur team Bagheria. He played only once and was loaned to Reggina in 1998 but transferred immediately to Crotone, remaining there for four seasons. After a loan at Ascoli in 2002-03, he joined Messina, where he helped the team reaching a Serie A promotion in his first year and stayed for two more, playing a total of 102 matches. He then came back to Reggina in 2006 and played 71 matches in two seasons. He eventually had his longest spell at Napoli from 2008 to 2013, playing 144 games. He retired in 2015 after a short spell at Palermo and one last at Reggina.
A typical old school defender, Aronica was a strong and hard tackler, not very fast but gifted with determination and temperament. He possessed decent technical qualities and ball distrubution, thanks to which he could play effectively also in midfield.
