Pinzi is a former central or defensive midfielder, who could act also as attacking midfielder. He spent most of his career at Udinese, where he played from 2000 to 2008 and from 2010 to 2015 for a total of 355 matches and 19 goals. He played also for Lazio, ChievoVerona, Brescia and Padova, where he retired in 2019. He capped once for Italy in 2005.
Equally capable in front of the defence or right behind the forward, Pinzi was a hardworker gifted with great stamina. He mainly acted in the center of the field, covering the space, tackling his opponents and recovering balls. However, he also supported the attack when he had the chance. In fact, he possessed good speed, fine technique, dribbling, passing ability and most importantly a powerful long range shot. Moreover, he could use well both feet.
