Migliaccio is a former central and defensive midfielder, who also played as centre back in case of emergency. His career began in 1998 at Savoia. He then played for Puteolana, Giugliano and Ternana. In 2005, he transferred to Atalanta, where he played 86 matches and scored 4 goals in two seasons and a half. He eventually had his longest experience at Palermo from 2007 to 2012, making 177 appearances and scoring 10 goals. After a short spell at Fiorentina, he came back to Atalanta in 2013, playing 152 more games, scoring 6 goals and retiring in 2017.
Migliaccio was mostly a defensive player, who acted on the center-right of the midfield. His main task was to stop the opposing attacks and recover the ball, which he often did with accurate tackles. As enforcer, he showed hard work, fine technique, good running ability, excellent stamina and determination. He was capable of covering well the spaces and was highly effective in the air thanks especially to an impressive leap of 56 centimeters. He wasn't prone to finalize the action but was a threat in the opposing box due to a very good heading ability ─ 8 out of 10 of his Palermo goals were headers. He acted efficiently even as centre back, proving even more his good defensive qualities.
