Attack / Defence Awareness Card: Attack MindedINFOS:Yoann Gourcuff is French midfielder who was a very talented youngster. French public even called him "La Succeseur", as they saw in him a legitimate successor of the great Zinedine Zidane. But, Gourcuff never reached his full potential, even though he played magnificent football during his two-year spell in Bordeaux with whom he most notably won the 2008/09 Ligue 1 title. He was key player in that generation, scoring a lot of goals and providing even more assists from the attacking midfielder position. He was a playmaker, player with great vision and excellent passing skills, especially on long distances. His corner kicks and crosses were very dangerous and flew with great speed and swerve and almost always finished on Chamakh's, Diawara's or someone else's head. He had great first touch of the ball, which helped him to trick his opponent before even confronting him. He was skilled dribbler with arsenal of feints, which he used to defeat the opponent and then shoot or deliver an excellent cross. He could endure a lot of physical challenges, but he was rather slow player. He liked to organize the attack, so he often come close to his teammates to get the ball, and rarely ran into free space. He scored some magnificent headers, but generally wasn't too good in aerial play, mostly because of his low leap. He played for France in 31 games, representing them in 2010 World Cup where he was dismissed in the match against South Africa.
